From the 1st January 2015, EC regulations will come into force that will make it unlawful for anyone to service or maintain their air conditioning systems if it uses R22 refigerant gas. Read more below:
Does your business use R22 refrigerant gases? If your air conditioning equipment is more than ten years old, there is a good chance that it uses an R22 refrigerant gas. From 1st Jan 2015, European Comission Regulations will make it unlawful for anyone to service or maintain their air conditioning system using an R22 refrigerant gas. Therefore replacing existing air conditioning equipment with new cleaner, efficient systems is now a top priority for thousands of affected businesses across the UK.
According to industry estimates, there could be as many as 750,000 R22 systems still in circulation including air conditioning splits, VRF, chiller and refrigeration plant systems. As the deadline approaches, if everyone decides to leave their R22 replacement until the last minute, we believe that there could easily be a shortage of qualified accredited engineers (like Aspen AC Ltd) to meet the changeover timescales, leading to scheduling issues, delays and the risk of supply-led price inflation. Doing nothing until after the deadline and your company in accordance with EC Ozone Regulation No 1005/2009 risks the exposure of site shutdown and/or fines.
We will attend site and access your current equipment and give you a detailed cost and solution to replace your current systems to the new cleaner cost effective solution. It may be as easy as utilising the new replacement R22 equipment which allows us to exchange your old indoor and outdoor units with new, but keeping and using the existing pipe as installed. This saves cost and disruption without the need of having pipe work and services being installed.
Responding to market demands, Aspen AC Ltd can provide access to manufacturer finance packages, enabling our customers to benefit from installing modern energy saving equipment, whilst managing their cash flow.
